Global Logistics & Compliance
Mineral trade fails on paperwork more often than it fails on geology. This page sets out the licences we trade under, the documents that travel with your cargo, and the international frameworks your own compliance team will test us against.
Nigeria licenses mining and mineral trading separately. A trading house does not need a mining lease — it needs the titles below, issued under the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act 2007 and renewed on a fixed cycle.
Licence and permit numbers are released to counterparties on request as part of pre-contract due diligence.
Your customs broker, your smelter’s audit team and your insurer each need different pieces of this. We assemble the whole pack before the vessel sails.

We don’t set these standards and we can’t certify ourselves against all of them — but we know which ones apply to which mineral, and we prepare the records that let you satisfy them.
The five-step framework that underpins conflict-minerals law in the US, EU and Switzerland. It sets the expectations our origin documentation is built to satisfy.

Places supply-chain due diligence obligations on Union importers of tin, tantalum and tungsten, their ores, and gold. In force since 1 January 2021.
Tin ore · Tantalite
Requires US-listed companies to report on 3TG in their supply chains. Downstream buyers pass that obligation up to their suppliers.
Tin ore · Tantalite
Independent third-party audit of smelters and refiners. Conformant smelters will not accept an undocumented lot, so our records are prepared to meet the audit.
Tin ore · Tantalite
Upstream traceability and tagging scheme for tin and tantalum, implementing the OECD guidance at mine-site level.

Mineral concentrates may liquefy if shipped above their transportable moisture limit. The Code requires a signed TML certificate and moisture declaration to the master.
Concentrates shipped in bulk
Governs carriage of radioactive material by sea, including packaging, labelling and dose-rate limits for thorium-bearing mineral sands.
Monazite
We contract on FOB or CIF. The chosen term fixes exactly where risk, cost and insurance responsibility pass from us to you.
All shipments
Mineral concentrates are Group A cargoes under the IMSBC Code — they can liquefy and destabilise a vessel if loaded above their transportable moisture limit. Bulk lots ship with a signed TML certificate and a moisture declaration for the master.
Most lots move in 1 MT jumbo bags, sealed and numbered, stuffed to container weight limits. Gemstone parcels ship sealed and insured; thorium-bearing material ships drummed and labelled to Class 7.
We contract on FOB or CIF under Incoterms 2020. The term you choose fixes where risk, cost and insurance pass — on CIF we carry marine cover through to your destination port.
Nigerian ports of loading
Every figure that determines what you pay is independently checkable, and the contract says what happens when two labs disagree.
A representative sample is cut from the lot using a documented sampling protocol, not a handful off the top of a bag.
The sample goes to an independent laboratory. You receive the certificate of analysis, including the penalty elements, before shipment.
You are free to appoint your own inspection house — SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, Alfred H Knight or another — to witness sampling, weighing and loading at your cost.
Where your assay and ours disagree beyond the contract splitting limit, an agreed umpire laboratory settles it and the result binds both sides.
We source well beyond our active stock. Tell us the mineral, the grade, and the volume, and we’ll put it together through our network.
